CAN WE WATCH CLASSES?
To ensure all students can focus and enjoy their class, adults are not allowed to watch during regular sessions. If your child feels uncomfortable attending without a parent, they may sit out and join the next class instead.
• We do offer a special opportunity for parents to watch the last 5–10 minutes of the final class before each half term.
• Only one parent per child can attend due to limited space in the studio.
• Filming or recording during these sessions is not permitted.
We encourage parents to come along, cheer on your dancer, and share the excitement of Industry Warehouse with friends and family!
Street dance and musical theatre represent two distinct yet captivating styles of dance, each with its own unique flair and expression. Street dance, rooted in urban culture and street-inspired movements, exudes raw energy, rhythm, and individuality. From intricate footwork to gravity-defying freezes, street dancers master a blend of hip-hop, popping, locking, and breaking to create dynamic performances that pulsate with urban beats.
On the other hand, musical theatre transports dancers into a world of storytelling and theatricality, where movement intertwines seamlessly with song and narrative. Characterised by choreographed sequences that convey emotions and propel plotlines forward, musical theatre dance encompasses a wide range of styles, from jazz and tap to ballet and contemporary. With its emphasis on precision, expression, and storytelling through movement, musical theatre dance captivates audiences with its artistry and emotive depth.
While street dance celebrates individuality and urban culture, musical theatre dance channels the magic of storytelling and theatrical performance, each offering its own unique experience for dancers and audiences alike.
Contemporary dance is a broad style of expressive movement. A mid century dance style that is still evolving today. It does not follow one strict style instead borrows and blends techniques from many dance forms. Improves Coordination and flexibility. Encourages healthy posture. Promotes fitness in a fun way.
Lyrical & Jazz Technique is a foundation of dance, built on a set of technical skills and movement principles that help dancers perform with precision, strength and style. focusing on Turns & Pirouettes, Kicks & Leaps, Isolation, Rhythm, Sharp and Fluid Contrasts. This class will focus on fundamentals to keep practicing.
